Bush bad? Why then is the world creating more new democracies?

Afghanistan a democracy for the first time its history? Iraq a democracy? Saudi Arabia allowing "men", (I'm sure women will follow at some point) to vote for the first time? A democracy there too? Palestine and Israel have a cease fire? Even Clinton could not achieve that. Now Egypt?

For the first time since 1981 Egypt goes democratic as well! I think this says it all: http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/meast/02/26/egypt.ap/index.html

Things are not quite as bleak as the press and nay-sayers of hate radio and hate tv (to use the phase coined by Billy Maher, host of hate talk shows) would have you believe.

I see Iran going Democratic next. Freedom works. Just believe in it. I for one am thankful and proud of all the work our troops are doing to insure a safer world.

Are you talking of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia or all these friendly dictatorships that are your allies ? the only dictators that the US have a problem with are the one not following their orders from Washington. The US had no problem with Saddam Hussein until he became a renegade that stop cooperating with Washington.

There's a lot of well DOCUMENTED account on the web of how the CIA helped Saddam gain power in the 50's and how the US helped him in the 80's to fight YOUR war with Iran. There's a nice videoclip of Rumsfeld shaking hands with Saddam (even after Saddam used chemical weapons against the Kurdes).

And remember that a democracy is not only about voting, because they also have "election" in China and in most dictatorship like Singapour...
