Google Maps Flight Sim

Now this site kicks ass! Finally an intelligent use for Google Maps.

You fly a plan via Google Maps. The controls work , right/left arrow, bank right/left. Up/Down arrow, plane goes up/down.

While flying around DC, I decided to see how far down I could go, and if the programmer had the forsight to allow the plane to crash. Not only did he do that, but an explosion follows as you plow into the ground or buildings.

This things is hilliarious. I was able to amuse myself for almost an hour the other day.

Just thought I would share this with others if you had not seen it yet.




One other nifty thing. You can shoot by pressing the space bar. The bullets or missiles, or whatever they are hit the ground with mini explosions.
