Proof Polls are Fixed!
I have conclusive proof that polling is not a good way to get an accurate picture of opinions. At least not when it comes to "Opinion Research Corporation".
I've long been of the opinion that polls were useless. For instance exit polls conducted during the 2000 and 2004 Presidential elections that were the complete opposite of the end result. It seems that polls that are conducted for liberal news agencies may be about as valid as pictures taken in Lebanon for Reuters. Yes, I am saying they are either fabricated, or completely re-written in order to gain a certain outcome one way or another.
Case in point. Some time ago I received a call from the "Opinion Research Corporation", asking my opinion of the war in Iraq. Specifically whether I supported the war effort. The question was prefaced informing me that a series of questions will be asked, as well as my age, political affiliation, race, religion, nationality, etc. I was initially asked if I supported "Bush's war" in Iraq. To which I stated, "Yes, I support America and our war against terrorism, which includes the war in Iraq".
The poller said, thank you very much but I have no more questions for you, "CLICK".
Interesting. Ok, so she never gathered any of the information she claimed she needed, nor did she ask any of the canned questions she claimed she would ask. I was disqualified from the polling because they had obviously not reached their goal of 60% against. I am going to assume this poll took weeks, perhaps months to complete if this is the way they approached their data manipulation.
So what is this all about? Well, today I see the results of this poll in a story on CNN with the following headlines:
"Poll: 60 percent of Americans oppose Iraq war"
The story goes on to say:
And a majority of poll respondents said they would support the withdrawal of at least some U.S. troops by the end of the year, according to results from the Opinion Research Corporation poll conducted last week on behalf of CNN. The corporation polled 1,047 adult Americans by telephone.
"support the withdrawal of at least some U.S. troops by the end of the year"
Yeah, ok, and who would not? I really wonder what the rest of the questions that lady was going to ask me were. I see nothing here about "Do you support Bush's War?". So supporting the "withdrawal of at least some U.S. troops by the end of the year", translates to, "60% oppose war".
Aside from the obvious flawed, or misinterpreted results of the poll, let us not forget that I was hung up on because I did not give the answer the poller was looking for.
Go figure. Liberals will stop at nothing to tear American down.
