Rebel Pics are in!

I took a few shots of my new 2005 Rebel before heading out to D.C. last week. Got some nice pics of my son admiring daddy's new toy!

Take a look here

Finally took it out the other day. What a nice little bike!

Finally it's over!

It's about time. I've heard about enough of the Shivo case in the news. Now perhaps we can start dealing with things like lowering gas prices, fighting terror, reforming Social Security, punishing criminals and pedophiles.

What the hell is the media going to do now? I've not been this sick of a no-news story since the OJ case.

It irony in all this was that many of the same people who would kill unborn children with coat hangers wanted to see a vegetable stay alive and suffer so they could feel better about themselves. The odd thing in all this as well is many a Republican made hypocrites out of themselves. To think that good Republicans would like to see a Legislative or Executive branch/body overturn a Judicial decision?

There has to be a reason why court after court, judge after judge ruled the way they did. I take the humble assumption that there are facts in this case that many of us, the media included are not aware of. There are facts that are and have been presented in court that made every judge decide the same way.

Now I only hope that the media and talk radio will not spend the next 2 months reflecting on this. Let's hope we can all move on and start dealing with real issues, that the living and the conscious are in need of having addressed.

Nuff said!

Big Ass Burger King Sandwich

It always amazes me how slow the news is to pick up on stories. Take for instance this enormous Burger King breakfast sandwich. CNN seems to think the sandwich, dubbed "The Enormous Omelet Sandwich", debuted today "Monday March 28th, 2005".

Nope, sorry CNN, it was already available in Dulles (that's an airport near D.C.) in the C Concourse Burger King. This was Saturday March 20th, 2005. Amazing.

For the full and complete, albeit, over bloated (no pun) story, you can simply click here:

Let's compare Iraq to other wars and other Presidents!

Remember These Facts

Comparing the number of U.S. wounded and dead with the size of the force deployed, in Vietnam the casualty rate was 6.2%; in World War I and World War II, just above 6.5%. On D-day, June 6, 1944, more than three times as many servicemen were lost as died in Iraq in the past year.

The Iraq war rate seems high only because our unstated benchmark is the 1991 Gulf War (total casualty rate: 0.14%). This is not meant to deprecate the sacrifices of our soldiers; for friends and family members, no statistics can assuage their grief. But, from a historical vantage point, what's remarkable is how few casualties we've suffered, not how many.

When some claim President Bush shouldn't have started this war, state the following ...

FDR... led us into World War II.
Germany NEVER attacked us: Japan did.
From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost, an average of 112,500 per
year.

Truman... finished that war and started one in Korea, North Korea NEVER attacked us. From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost, an average of 18,334 per year.

John F. Kennedy... started the Vietnam conflict in 1962. Vietnam NEVER attacked us.

Johnson... turned Vietnam into a quagmire.
From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost, an average of 5,800 per year.

Clinton... went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent, Bosnia NEVER attacked us. He was offered Osama bin Laden's head on a platter three times by Sudan and did nothing. Osama has attacked us on multiple occasions.

In the two years since terrorists attacked us President Bush has ...
liberated two countries, crushed the Taliban, crippled al-Qaida, put nuclear inspectors in Libya, Iran and North Korea without firing a shot, and captured a terrorist who slaughtered 300,000 of his own people.

The Democrats are complaining about how long the war is taking, but... It took less time to take Iraq than it took Janet Reno to take the Branch Davidian compound. That was a 51 day operation.

We've been looking for evidence of chemical weapons in Iraq for less time than it took Hillary Clinton to find the Rose Law Firm billing records.

It took less time for the 3rd Infantry Division and the Marines to destroy the Medina Republican Guard than it took Ted Kennedy to call the police after his Oldsmobile sank at Chappaquiddick.

Our Commander-In-Chief is doing A--O.K

Hell he is doing better than A-OK. President Reagan had to wait until long after he was out of office to realize the good his presidency did. By the time his contribution to world good was realized, he was likely unaware of it.

It seems everything Bush does has an almost immediate and positive affect on our world. It will likely take years for the ignorant in our world to fully realize this.

Clint Eastwood: I'll Kill Michael Moore

"Clint Eastwood: I'll Kill Michael Moore"

Some things are just too funny to repeat, but this one has to be repeated because apparently it did not get much press. After all, I only just found out about it today.

"Michael Moore and I actually have a lot in common - we both appreciate living in a country where there's free expression," Eastwood was quoted as telling the National Board of Review awards dinner in New York Tuesday night.

With a cold glare Eastwood took notice of Moore sitting in the audience and said bluntly and without a smile: "But, Michael, if you ever show up at my front door with a camera - I'll kill you."

DANGEROUS CITY? IRaQ/DC?

DANGEROUS CITY

"According to icasualties.org, there have been 88 hostile
fire deaths caused by firearms since the beginning of
hostilities in Iraq. The remainder of coalition deaths have
been due to explosives or accidents.

Considering that there have been on average 160,000 troops in
theater during the last 22 months, there has been a firearm
death rate of 60 per 100,000. The rate in DC is 80.6 per
100,000. You are more likely to be shot and killed in our
Nation's Capital, which has some of the strictest gun control
laws in the nation, than in Iraq.

The conclusion? The U.S. should immediately pull out of
WASHINGTON, DC."
