Towel Head? Is it PC or not?

Is it ok to say Towel Head? Is that racist? Those dawning their bathroom wear on their heads are not a race, nor is the towel itself. It's a religion. Given it is a religion that is being made fun of, is it really racist, or just bad taste?

Anyone? Thoughts?
